| | | Mobile TV aerial advice Does anyone have any good advice to pass on regarding mobile television aerials for caravans/motor caravans?
Are the omnidirectional ones any good or can a good signal be obtained with a cheaper booster aerial from a high street store?
Any helpful advice would be gratefully received.

Ann | Hi Ann,
I have found that TV reception as you would expect is very much related to the position of the caravan site. It is an 'omnidirectional aerial' I have but on occasions reception has been very poor. In the sites where reception was poor there was fortunately a 'co-ax cabled system'. which was fed from a 'site aerial and booster'. I haven't tried the cheaper boosters but certainly have given it a thought.
More and more seem to be using 'satellite dishes' these days.

| | | Re: Mobile TV aerial advice Thank you for your advice John. I shall compare the cost of an omnidirectional aerial with a satellite dish and I think I will need to do some further research before I commit to anything.

| | | Re: Mobile TV aerial advice I have the Maplins Satellite camp kit which I mount on a cheap rotary airer
tripod base I line it up by using a compass to find south then go left a bit
It works very well indeed
I also have a Vision Plus Image 530/18-2 tv-fm aerial which I use on a pole kit (+ one more pole) and an A-frame bracket. Practical Caravan - The online version of the UK's top-selling caravan magazine. Product test
