| | | Which Monopod for the Bigma Which monopod do you use for the Bigma??
Would you also recommend changing the head as well??
I'm looking to get one to give that extra bit of stability, also what sort of cost would I be looking at. Not wanting to get financial approval from SWMBO.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

| | | Re: Which Monopod for the Bigma Steve,
I use a Manfrotto 680B monopod with a Manfrotto 484RC2 ball head, I'm always careful to ensure the camera and Bigma are well supported though.
Where practicable I use a Manfrotto 055CL tripod with a Manfrotto Pan & Tilt Head Mn141Rc with my Bigma and for macro work, I've been very happy with it.
I hope this is of some help.
Dave

I use a Velbon UP-4DX with a pan head for mine cost me £20 second hand and does the job very well, I also own a Manfrotto 676B with a heavy duty ball head.

Steve | Hi Steve,
I use a Giottos monopod with my Bigma, great quality and easily handles the weight (some monopods close up under the weight so check what the maximum load is before buying) the head is a Benbo Ballhead which works fine.
Cheers

| | | Re: Which Monopod for the Bigma I use the Manfrotto 694 magfibre with a 234 RC Quick Release Head. To be honest, I don't think it makes any difference which make you have, but I do recommend the 234RC head. It's very simple and all the better for it. I've quick release plates on all my lenses. Works very well.
I've not time for tripods. Far to cumbersome, awkward and heavy for me to use, apart from at home with my macro lens. Just my opinion of course. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
