| | BBC Wildlife magazine - back issues available, 1983-2003 I'm in the process of parting with various wildlife publications that I've accumulated over the years (to make space for some new ones!) and I wondered if anyone would be interested in obtaining any/all of the back issues of BBC Wildlife that I have on my shelves? I have a full complement of magazines for the years 1983 (yes, including the first ever issue) until 2002, and several 2003 issues. They haven't been kept in binders, but they are all in good, readable condition. Ideally, I'd prefer to dispatch them in large rather than small batches; I'm happy to give them away but would be grateful for a contribution to mailing costs (they'll be reasonably heavy).
I hope their life can be usefully prolonged - looking through them again, I've been impressed by the consistent quality of the writing, photographs and production values over the past 20 years. If they don't find a new home my kerbside recycling chaps will have a bumper pick-up soon! |

| | | I wish I could say yes to this offer, but like you Streuth, I've probably hoarded too much already. Hopefully someone will take the magazines from you. |

| | | Streuth here. Well, my magazines are off to the recycling centre after all. I suppose there was a benefit in keeping them for so long, since if I'd disposed of them 20 years ago they would now be in a landfill site! Thanks for your comment Tinkerbell, by the way.

| | | If they haven't gone already how about giving them to a charity shop. a lot of charity shops will pick up stuff. I often go into charity shops hunting for anything to do with wildlife and I can't be the only one. Just a thought! Pat |

| | | Are they gone yet? If you haven't gotten rid of them already, I would love to take them off your hands. And would pay for shipping, too. Let me know. |

| | BBC Wildlife Magazines To albolar:
I'm afraid the magazines were picked up 8am this morning by our recyclers! Thanks for your interest, though terribly sorry to disappoint - perhaps I should have said Thursday is our recycling collection day. As for me, I'm going to try to avoid any more hoarding as house will not expand to accommodate it.
Apologies again,
Streuth |
