| | | Old lenses on a new camera ... can I? I have a heap of old lenses and extension tubes from my (very ancient) Zenit B and was wondering if there were any way that a 200mm telephoto lens with that thread could be fitted, and indeed made to work, on a Fujifilm S304?
Please excuse my total ignorance in all things photographic, I'm more at home in the 'digital world' as far as photos are concerned.
Thanks for your time ... Naz x |

| | | Re: Old lenses on a new camera ... can I? as the s304 isnt a digital slr and has a fixed lens these lenses cannot be fitted to it in a conventional sense. You could try reversing one onto the filter thread with a reversing ring to act as a high quality macro converter but i wouldnt use a 200mm for that - something more in the region of 50 or 35mm would be more ideal
if you had a dslr you can get M42 adaptors to both canon and nikon mounts but to be honest its not worth it as if you invest that much money in a body you ought to get some decent modern glass to go with it.
Personally i'd stick the lot on ebay and see what you can get for them - unless of course you still use the zenit as a film camera.

| | | Re: Old lenses on a new camera ... can I? Thanks for that advice eeyore, I haven't used the old stuff for ages and it's just in the attic, keeping the spiders company ... eBay it is, I reckon.
It was a long-shot (or technically not, in this instance)
Thanks again ... Naz |
