| | | Webcam advice Can anyone help? Where I work we are looking at buying a webcam/video camera to record nesting birds on tern islands that we are planning to clear. Does anyone know of a good webcam that could be used on an island and would have wireless connectivity of around 300m or more?
I know this is a lot to ask, but as you can imagine it is proving difficult to find one. I don't need one in a nest box or anything like that, we just want a camera that will play live feeds to our visitor centre so people (and staff) can see how many chicks there are and view their behaviour. |

| | | Re: Webcam advice I think this will be moving into the specialist sector...i dont think any off the shlef cams or nestbox cams will go 300m wireless and also be weather proof enough..
You might want to try somehwere like alana ecology? Alana Ecology
they may be able to point you in the right direction? |

| | | Re: Webcam advice Have a word with the people at Maplins. Have you considered a security camera? They are waterproof and are available to give colour images. Another contact could be the people at Woodchester Mansion. They used an internal system to watch the bats. They might be able to point you in the right direction. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
