| | | Re: Heavy duty Camera backpacks I can attest to the Lowepro Dryzones. My girlfriend got one recently for her 350D and loves it. She accompanies me out on the boats sometimes for Ocean photography so the bag really is a godsend.
I tend to keep my video equipment in Pelicans but they are prohibitively heavy which is especially a concern in this day and age of shrinking international luggage allowances (not to mention the exorbitant excess baggage charges). A couple of my friends have started taking regular travel cases, reinforcing their sides with cardboard and padding and then loading their gear into those. They look far less attractive than Pelicans, don't scream out "Hey, here's some pretty fancy camera gear" and lastly don't weigh half of your allowance when standing empty.
Cheers,
Mark. |

It will take just about everything that I need. There is sufficient padding to keep my kit safe while I am carrying it. I just have to make sure that my wife is able to carry it for me.
I am at Carlton - the high country. |
