| | | Re: webcams nest box wise you can buy special nestbox cams which give you a better picture 39 notes as i recall
shed wise if you fit it inside the shed but make a small window for the angle of view- and keep this scrupoulusly clean- then you will have solved your weather proofing problem. you then just need to put the camera in a sandwich box with a hole cut for the lens , and some sillica gel sachets to combat damp and bosh, job doodled

leon | Parents heh - telll them to read gerald durrell My family and other animals , garden of the gods etc then they will see your requests as completely reasonable (amongst other things he filled the bath with captive water snakes and kept a captive owl in his bedroom)
it wouldnt need to be a big hole - the average webcam lens is about 2-3cm across so you just stick the lid of the sarnie box to the inside of the shed wall drill the hole with a hole cutting kit through the box lid and the wall, fit the lens into it then seal up round the edges with exapandable filler, drill a small hole into the bottom of the box and thread the usb lead through it, then add you sachets of silica gel and clip the box in to place - voila
then it is a simple case of running your usb lead back to the house (though you also have the option of setting an old computer up in the shed if theres power)

leon | so volunteer to tidy it up then they'll be so impressed with what a dutiful son you are that they wont mind when you ask if you can cut a teeny tiny hole in the back wall
