| | | Photographic Advice Required Hi Guys
I did my first wedding that the weekend and was wondering if some of you could cast a critical eye over the images which can be found here it's rude to stare
It is the intention of the site to simply show off what I feel to be the best images, then I can work on the images, that are chosen by the family, further.
The location does not normally cater for weddings so I had to choose all of the locations.
I am pretty chuffed with the results but could do with some pointers as to what the keen photographers amongst you think.
Thanks in advance

I'm no expert in photography but I can say if they were my wedding photos I'd be really pleased with them; the mix of formal portraits and informal snaps I felt gave some character to the Gallery and they seem to capture the admosphere of the day.The locations and backgrounds of the 'posed' snaps seem well chosen.
Hope this helps! Nice one
BTW, where was the pics taken? it looks lovely...

Guest 1. If you could have got one with the hair off her face I think it would lokk better.
Guest 2. The sign over the mans shouler is distracting.
Guest 4 and 5. It would have been nice if you could have taken the shot IF their eyes were looking up at the congregration.

Christina 18. If you could have moved a little to Christina's right you could have ommited the blokes head.
Christina 18. I realise you were not using flash, but if you could of upped the f stop from 1.4 to 2.8 I think you may have got her hand with the pen in focus.

| | | Re: Photographic Advice Required For your first bash at wedding photography these are excellent images pal, I really enjoyed looking at them and could not find fault with any of them.
I agree with Claire, if you had taken these for me I would have been thrilled with the results, there's a great mixture of styles in there from formal portraits to some great candid shots, you just don't get this mixture with most formal wedding photographers as they'd rather stick to the safe formal regimented stuff.
In my opinion the candid shots are a great way to deliver the sense of fun & happiness involved in a wedding day, based on these images I think you will be asked to do more of this, you obviously have a talent for portrait/candid work.
By the way, where was the wedding held? it looks like a fantastic location.

Dai | Thats a fantastic job guys. Thanks for all of your comments.
I see you points Dai and will attempt to get rid of the sign in photoshop. All of the other duly noted too.
Cheers

Steve. | Thanks Steve
The wedding was at Cartmel, Lake District, and the reception at Graythwaite on the side of the lake. It was a lovely day and I went on a lovely walk on the sunday with the family and some guests, maybe 40 of us. Will be camping there again very soon
