| | | Tremella I am just sorting out some photos from last year and came across this
Is this just T foliacea or a rather washed out T aurantia with its accompanying S hirsutum?

| | | Re: Tremella Hello Mal,
to me it looks rather like very old Tremella foliacea.
The Stereum could well be S. rugosum too.
best regards,
Andreas

| | | Re: Tremella Thanks Andreas. I had logged it as foliacea but just spotted the Stereum and wondered.

| | | Re: Tremella Hi,
Tremella foliacea is a parasite on Stereum spp. too (S. hirsutum, S. rugosum, S. sanguinolentum), so this is no characteristic for T. aurantiaca.
best regards,
Andreas

| | | Re: Tremella Hello Mal,
b.t.w.: For such things Wikipedia is also a source of information which is often worth having a glance to. It is usually quit up to date and without heavy mistakes. Especially the english wikipedia is very informative about mushrooms, better then the german version.
best regards,
Andreas
