Buoyed by my recent success at getting an ID correct I am not going to ruin my average by going for this one....... photo taken in September on the Mon & Brec Canal in South Wales. Anyone care to give me a lead .... 
quite a large specimen as you can see from the adjacent ivy leaves

It might be an idea to do these enquiries in batches of four or five; lots of posts have the tendency to push other posts off the "front page" rather quickly as it were
not so much a problem at relatively quiet times like this, perhaps, but . . . just a thought

I see exactly your point and will endeavour not to swamp the forum with multiple requests for ID, with luck and study I hope to actually reach a point where I will at least be competent with identifying the more common species accepting that this fungus ID game is far from easy. To be honest I am more a photographer than a mycologist but it is a fascinating excuse for getting out and about !!

that's not quite what I'm saying; by all means post "multiple requests" but just a few at a time rather than singly
and it's only a suggestion - you have as much ownership of WAB as I do . . .
