Hi all,
this may have been right for pick up sticks, but its heather, so maybe that doesnt count.
Anyway, its another one thats got me beat..................not difficult.

It was on a few Heather bales we were using to gully block on the moor -they had been left up there exposed for a good few weeks on the moor at 1500ft, wet and cold, but this has appeared on some Heather twigs in the bales: Yellow, hints of ruddy, looking a bit like possibly a slime mould, at early stage, Physarum or fuligo maybe - but even that doesnt seem right to me.
Although it doesnt seem to have a structure and is a bit amorphous like a slime.

Grateful for any ideas/steer!
(yep, yorkshire Chris)

Cheers
Ken
