For my second offering tonight can anyone give me a a steer on this one, tried to use the key in Jordan but to no avail, am hoping the granular stem might help, as you can see from the leaf litter this in an old mixed wood under beech and oak, photo taken in October

This looks like Dappled Webcap - Cortinarius bolaris.

Yes, I concede that when viewed at full size, they do have the look of Armillaria.
I'd only viewed the photo at the smaller size, and, with them having a pink/red cast, and with what appeared to be "dappling" on the cap, I had the impression that they looked like C.bolaris that was past its best.
But viewing the photo at full size, I can now see that the "dappling" on the caps looks more like typical Armillaria scales.
