I am interested in nature in general and currently focusing on fungi and planning ahead for next spring. Keen on meeting kindred spirits for walks, forays etc. Would like to improve my identification skills and to photograph interesting examples as there are some very beautiful forms, colours, textures etc and a great challenge for close up and macro photography.

I am presently growing Oyster mushrooms and keen to hear from fellow Bedfordshire "cultivators," "photographers," or other "foragers" with similar interests and possibly with a few years experience.

I also wanted to locate some Bedfordshire woods to walk in which were photogenic and to catch some sites where the blue bells would form a colourful carpet.

Have you tried a gogle search for 'fungi in Bedfordhire': I just tried it and there is a fungus group called: Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire Fungi Group
