I think this might be a Clavulina species. I found it growing in the short grass of a public park. Any help with ID would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.    |

Hi
I think by the way it is spreading over the grass it is a slime mould. Did you feel the consistency?
I will wait for someone else to suggest a name

Unfortunately such a small and low quality image makes even Genus ID difficult.

Okay. Thank you for your help and advice. I think it's hard to show detailed images on this site, I had to reduce the size of these photos to get them to upload. Does anyone have any advice on this? |

This site actually contains more detailed images of fungi and other wildlife than probably any other site on the Web. A brief look in the galleries should confirm this!
