| | | BBC Breakfast 08.59 Fungi and moulds I missed a slot about fungi and moulds on BBC Breakfast, all I did see was a tall fungi with a small pointed cap that dropped a lacy mantle from the cap
anybody any ideas as to what it was?

Neil. | true - I think I spotted that on a trail . . . . unless it was filmed abroad of course in which case it could be Phallus indusiatus (long known as Dictyophora indusiata)

For those who missed it, it is repeated later tonight (early tomorrow) - 02:30am Wednesday 7th. December, and again at 01:25am on Friday 9th December.
Not as much fungi related content/information as anticipated, but an interesting programme nevertheless. Quote:

Chris | Yes, P.indusiatus. That sequence, and the ant/ Cordyceps time lapse sequence have both been previously shown on other programmes.
