When you take photos in situ, try to aim for the type of shot you would expect to see in an ID book, that way there will be a good chance of us being able to ID them.
Another tip, if you are hopeless on tree ID try to include leaves or needles of the nearest tree/s in the shot to where the fungus was found.
Neil. | OK thanks for the tips. I've been interested in trees for a year or so but am just starting really. Still find tree ID quite confusing. I have Collins Complete Guide To British Trees, The Woodland Trusts Exploring Woodland, South West England. Also Dvd, British Trees & Woodland.
Also keen on wood working, wood finishing and carving. Gives me an extra interest in wood/timber and perhaps insight, a really amazing resource! Most people don't appreciate it, they walk about with their eyes closed, sad. |
