| | | Four fungi for ID I picked these to photograph at home as the light was bad in the woods all found in mixed woodland..
This is the first one..
The second is some kind of Bolete found under an oak tree.
The third I think a trooping funnel..
And the last one I think is a puffball..
Cheers Elaine. |

1.) probably Tricholoma argyraceum/scalpturatum
2.) Xerocomellus chrysenteron
3.) Clitocybe geotropa
4.) probably Calvatia excipuliformis
best regards,
Andreas

| | | re: Four fungi for ID Thank you Andreas,
I looked in your book for the ids I wasn't too far off with the easy ones.
I will label them for reference for the future. |

Andreas | A quote from the latest key to come out in the UK with the collaboration of three very highly respected boletologist "In Britain it appears to be confined to coniferous woods although very occasionally it can appear with Fagus. It does not seem to occur with Quercus"

| | | re: Four fungi for ID The Bolete was under an oak but the on the right of the path running through the woods this side contains a mixed woodland the other side of the path contains only coniferous trees, the path is about 4ft wide with a margin of a couple of feet+ either side..
Sorry for the lack of info I didn't see the relevance until now. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
