Couple of mixed woodland fungi for confirmation/help

Taken today mixed woodland Northampton.
1. Hygrophoropsis aurantiaca? Near spruce and birch growing out of these mounds.

2. Probably one of those tricky Clitocybe jobs..? Growing under beech, seemed to be attached to twigs, had a plasticy smell best I can describe it. Largest individual had a cap diameter of about 10cm.

You are correct with the False Chanterelle, but the Clitocybe is gonna be a microscope jobby I expect, as this seems to be one of several species that turn very pale when they begin to dry up.

Cheers Neil, the Clitocybe was an obvious long shot - I had a feeling it could have been Clitocybe phaeophthalma (with beech - smells weird) but as you say needs the wee scope on it.
