Unknown fungi

Can anyone help, spotted this fungi in a south wales nature reserve, my first attempts at photographing fungi.

It is not easy to identify fungi from photographs, especially when they are taken looking straight down as the stem and gills are not visible.

It's a bit like being given a photo of various celebrities taken from above showing only the tops of their heads and then being asked to name them

Hello Leaward,

It may sound a bit harsh, but I echo everything Peter (Ditiola) says.

A better comparison would be a photo of Beyonce taken from above with a cowboy hat on - if you're lucky you may just get a glimpse of that lovely rear end sticking out and be able guess who it was, but in this case we don't have anything else to go on, plus the fungus has curled up making it more un-natural.
