| Re: Unidentified Fungi Oslo/Norway Nov. 8th 2011 Hi Steve,
I'm tempted to suggest Scurfy Twiglet - Tubaria furfuracea.
Fruiting autumn/winter.
Striate margin when moist, edged with velar remains when young.
Cap to 4cm across. Dull, smooth, or fibrillose/scurfy.
Reddish brown, but drying cream or beige. (Hygrophanous).
Stipe to 4cm. covered in white fibrils.
(Can just about see them on the lower parts of the stipes on the in-situ fruitbodies).
Gills adnate.
Habitat fallen twigs, sticks, and wood chippings. in deciduous woods & gardens. |
