| | | Unidentified Fungus from Clumber Hello all
John, Les and I visited Clumber 6th November 2011 to capture the annual Orange Peel Fungus - Aleuria aurantia and search out the Bracken Club - Typhula quisquiliaris.
This was found on a piece of bracken but I suspect it's not growing on the bracken itself but on the remains of something else (fungal).
I've had this before and can't remember what it was
Any help or comments as always much appreciated

I don't recall it smelling much of anything, and I didn't see many limping moths
Is this of any use .. http://www.mycokey.com/MycokeyDK/DKk...idGenusKey.pdf

John et al | I see you found the Bracken Club - Typhula quisquiliaris; I can just see it sticking out in the background

Peter | We just had to have this after seeing your recent excellent image Peter!
Looking at the FRDBI I suppose Pterula gracilis, on/with Pteridium aquilinum was very likely!
Many thanks again Nick
