The appearance and especially the habitat of the first one, point to V. gloiocephala the description of the habitat is typical around here where it abounds.

Volvariella gloiocephala has been recorded from Shetland (Dennis 1986: Fungi of the Hebrides) as V.speciosa.

Sorry just to clarify I live in Hertfordshire, so these two finds are from the UK.

I did not know about your sister site wild about the world. Regarding mushrooms of the Faroe Islands I think posting on both sites would be a good idea. And I will be sure where neccessary to state "non British find" in the image Gallery.
