| | | Blue/green toadstools in play bark - poisonous? Found some blue/green coloured toadstools in the bark in my son's play area today. I'd never seen any this colour before - I've taken a photo of one (it doesn't look as blue as it did when I first picked it) - anyone know if these are poisonous?  |

Edit: I should say it will make no difference as they will grow again anyway and the spores will have already been dispersed, hopefully in readiness for a new colony to become established.
Share this thing of beauty with your son and get him interested in nature at an early age.

Because they are gooey and sticky and a strange bluish-yellow, I'd expect that your son, if he handled one, would go 'yuk', throw it down and then try to wipe the goo off on his clothes, rather then 'yum, must have a bite' .... They're a bit like touching slugs ....
