Question Is this vivid blue fungus Stropharia aeruginosa???
Hello everyone!

Please could you help me to I.D this vivid blue fungus. It was slimey on the cap and growing out of dead wood.

could be - a bit young but looks OK; though you have to be certain it isn't S. caerulea

it certainly isn't S. pseudocyanea

Hello Chris...that's very helpful information and I've looked at my photo's again...the actual fungus was incredably blue on the stem near the cap...more than my photo shows. The fact that it was growing on dead wood confused me a tad.
