Fly Agaric?

Fly Agaric is the one fungi I'm normally fairly confident about identifying, but I'm not sure about this one. Is it Fly Agaric? It was growing close to some Fly Agaric but doesn't have the white spots.

It looks like a Fly Agaric - Amanita muscaria, where the scales have been washed off by a heavy downpour.

thanks Waxcap, although I don't think there had been any heavy rain. This was taken in mid Sept after quite a prolonged dry spell and there were Fly Agarics nearby with their scales intact.

There's a fair bit of soil debris on the cap. Maybe the scales were knocked off at birth.

Here's a similar situation.

There is also evidence at the cap edge of the white scales - you can see how they have been washed down by rain, unless a dog licked the spots off.
