| | | cup fungus for id if poss please Hi.
Can anyone id this cup fungus for me please. Found 10 individual clusters today growing on an old beech branch along with exida plana and several brackets.
Largest single one was 15mm wide. no apparant odour. flesh is dark cream. no apparent stipe. spores appear to be dark brown. inside is smooth and shiny and a light fawn colour. outside is dark brown with a slightly lighter edge. velvet in texture.
Regards tn.

Regards tn. | this is somewhat reminiscent of Encoelia furfuracea or a close relative - are you certain about the host substrate?
