New member looking for i.d. on a fungus

Noticed this in the images section. It was posted by a new member (mushroomman 747) on October 5th looking for i.d. As no-one has seen it or offered an i.d. I thought I would put a post up for them as I am also intrigued

Never saw this, but it is just a turned over Coprinus comatus - Shaggy Inkcap.

How tall do you think this as it looks about 3ft high in the photo.

Have you been down the pub too Elaine ?

I reckon you are looking at that plant pot on the left and think it's a green water butt. If you look at the brickwork behind, you may be able to see where the damp course begins. I would imagine the fungus is 20 cm at most.

Yes I realize it is small this is why asked you opinion "how tall is it" from this shot and the thickness of the stem it does look a lot bigger than it really is, it did look like a water butt at first then I realised its not one.
