| | | Re: Is this a puffball NO. ^^ jonbem was being polite ^^ It is an Ink Cap variety, the Shaggy Ink Cap as jonbem has correctly identified.
(Note: Puff balls are normally round with spurs/pimples, unless when pear-nipple-shaped and smooth)

These Shaggy Ink Caps soon turn to slime,, if local,, keep an eye on them and take another image,, sometimes they invert
