please help with ID

Hi Folks
i've just taken these pictures in my back garden beneath our sycamore tree. ive looked through the collins guide to mushrooms and toadstools as well as a collins gem guide.
The nearest i can match it to is Armillaria Borealis.

Please can someone confirm this. Thanks

the images are very small and the fungus is rather past it - it certainly looks like an Armillaria but unless you are in Scotland and in a rather hilly bit of Scotland I seriously doubt this is A. borealis - there are one or two much commoner candidates but on this evidence Armillaria species will have to do I think
