| | | Help with Fungi ID please I've been through the two books I have on Fungi, but I'm unable to find any with the unusual pattern on the stipe that this one has, any help would be appreciated.
Many thanks,
Wayne. |

| | | Re: Help with Fungi ID please Hi Wayne,
I think that Mal will be correct in suggesting Cortinarius.
Unfortunately, Cortinarius, and Inocybe, ( and, when I'm trying to do it, half of the other genera as well ), are very difficult indeed to identify to species level.
Regards,
Mike. |

| | | Re: Help with Fungi ID please Sometimes you get lucky with Cortinarius, when it is a species with characters that you can easily recognise. This is one of those cases. This is Cortinarius trivialis, with its distinctive stem and viscid cap.
