| | | Growing from a fallen Pine Does anyone know what this is? I assume it's a slime mould of some sort? I found it growing on dead Pine in the New Forest. It was about 4cm across.
Thanks

I think it is the very early stage of a poroid (with pores) fungi. You can just make out the shapes of pores forming in the centre. However I do not know which poroid fungi it will be.

I googled this novascotiashroomsandblooms
Which has some useful info on it. Apparently it's quite rare in Nova Scotia |
