Help identify all-white toadstool in lawn.

Can anyone help me identify an all-white toadstool which has recently appeared in my lawn which is on heavy clay in Herefordshire. It stands up to 5 cm tall and up to 5 cm diameter. The closest picture I can find is for the St George’s mushroom, but this is appearing 6 months too late. It has a white spore print and closely packed white gills which are adnexed (I think). It has a smooth, dry top and a noticeably swollen base and is always in the mossy part of the lawn. It has a pleasant mushroom smell, but I haven’t tasted it! It hardly changes colour, even with age and the cap stays round and domed. It does not stain yellow when bruised.

I'd tentatively suggest Leuocoagaricus leucothites. If you search this site you'll find a number of threads about this particular species, which may assist in a better determination.
