You have a bad link to your photo - it won't open up to a full size image, and it's difficult to make out necessary ID info at thumbnail size.

Yes that link works Im not good enough to give a definate ID if its not Shaggy Parasol Chlorophyllum rhacodes, it could be Chlorophyllum brunneum, ok im probably wrong but its a good learning curve for me

Who told you?? was it not posted in the thread did you get a pm, i dont see a reply saying i was wrong, although im sure i was if you say so, i better keep quiete in future

Considering you tell us nothing at all about this fungus, not even what happens to flesh colour when cut, I believe Gobbiner did well to come up with his suggestions.
My previous post was a bit of an unfair trick post to catch you out for Chloropyllum brunneum is the correct name for Macrolepiota rhacodes var.hortensis also called M.rhacodes var.bohemica.
So in that sense Gobbiner is right, and you or your friend are wrong.

But then again, we must not stop there, have you also considered Chloropyllum abruptibulbus or C.oliveiri ?
