| | | Is this a young amanita pantherina?? Hi I have been searching most of the day trying to id this one. I think it may be a panther cap. Could someone please help.
Found yesterday 19/09/2011 amongst grass and litter on clay soil under oaks.
cap is ribbed at the edge and pealable. Dark tan at the top becoming lighter lower down.
Gills are unatached normally spaced and white.
Spores are white.
Stipe is white frosted hollow and fibrous.
Flesh is white.
I can not dettect any significant odour.
It is about two and a half inches tall.
regards tn.
