These were shot in the New Forest near Burley yesterday but cant seem to ID from the Collins book

Try Meripilus giganteus for the first. The second I should know and as soon as someone else tells you I will know  but not at the moment.

It most probably is, but take note of all those different variations shown, Rogers own caution at the end of the paragraph, plus of course Ken (who is very experienced) only going so far as to say "Trametes sp."
