I've 3 Fungi I'd like some ID help with please. All of them were growing in woodland in the Spey Valley near Insh.
Firstly a group growing at the base of an Aspen, which I think are Shaggy Scalycap -
Pholiota squarrosa. The largest was about 3.5 to 4 inches across and felt quite dry to the touch. No distinctive smell, but I've got a bit of a cold, so my sense of smell isn't what it should be. The tree also had at least 3 Aspen Brackets growing on it.
Next is a coral that was growing in soil on a path right next to exposed tree roots. Equidistant from the fungus was a Rowan, and a Birch. The woodland was predominantly Birch but with some Beech and conifers as well as Rowans. I think it may be Crested Coral -
Clavulina coralloides.
Lastly are some brilliant white fungi that were growing on a dead log underneath a large Beech tree, so I'm assuming it's a Beech log. I think these may be Porcelain Fungus -
Oudmansiella mucida, but they seem much whiter than the pictures in my book. The biggest was about 2.5 inches across and the cap felt quite slimy to the touch.
Any help will be appreciated.
Regards, Audrey.
