| | | Re: Fairy Ring Champigon mushroom Hi Mable and welcome to WAB! I'm not the best to comment on the species via the spore print. However, there's some very interesting info on fairy rings on wiki
(i was reading about them a couple of days ago). Shows various species that can produce fruiting bodies in this formation and some great folklore and early thought as to how the rings came to be. Fairy ring - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hope its of interest (though you know about the subject already!) |

| | | Re: Fairy Ring Champigon mushroom Hi mable and welcome from me, too.
Your thread caught my eye as I came across a ring at the edge of woodland under Sitka Spruce yesterday. The fungi were shrivelling rather than rotting.
I'm not in a postion to comment on your species but there are those on WAB who undoubtedly will.
Images are usually well received and may help ID. |

Welcome to WAB.
It depends on what you mean by a Fairy Ring. If you mean is it Marasmius oreades the Fairy Ring Champignon then with a brown spore print the answer is a definite no. There are quite a few that grown in this fashion so without further details we are not likely to be able to help narrow down to species.
