| | | odd enteloma Hi. can anyone id this fungus for me please. found today on a steep bank of very deep (two foot at least) of rotting leaf mould. under mainly decidious trees. At first i thought trooping funnel but on closer inspection I think it may be an enteloma of some sort. The caps are rather odd with "nobbles" in the centre. stipe is very short one and a half inches approx and tapers down from the top. Caps approx 3 to 4 inches across. no distinctive odour.
regards tn.

what makes you thinks this is an Entoloma? - did you get a pink spore-print?
Chris

| | | Re: odd enteloma Sorry chris. Looks like I forgot all you told me off about (i mean taught me) last season. No the spore print was not pink as i did not take one I promise I will try harder again!! as the season progresses.
So what do you think it is then??
The cap seemed rather odd to me.
regards tn.

| | | Re: odd enteloma I think it is most probably Infundibulicybe (Clitocybe) gibba, albeit with a malformed cap.
