Founding growing on oak. Pretty rubbery all over. Tan colour with some darker veins on the cap. Specimens range up to about 15cm high, about 8cm across the convex, inward curling cap. The waxy gills are spaced, adnexed (I think that's the word) in an off-white colour which is mottled in the more mature specimens. Smells pleasantly sweet.
