Fungi ID please

Found in a wood near me. I didn't want to hang around for long as there was a wasp nest about 3 feet away, at the base of a tree. I'd welcome an id on it if possible.

Also this one I saw during the winter.

the first one is Meripilus giganteus (Giant Polypore), and the second one is a bit to imature for me to give it a name

The second one looks like a frog who upset somebody and was turned into a fungus.

Thanks Peter. One for my tiny collection of fungi shots. Interestingly, all my 'good' photos come from the same location, a tiny country park near me that's only open at weekends during the summer. I suspect had this been anywhere else it would have been kicked to pieces long before I got to see it.

To be fair, that's what attracted me to this particular sujbect in the first place. It's somewhat reassuring that you can see it too!
