Well the first one I looked at on the twig and thought definitely Mycena I'll look it up when I get home. That was back in July and I still have the twig on the top of a shelf to stop the cat playing with it. Now I'm having trouble with it and can't help thinking I'm missing something really obvious.
The caps are tiny about 2-6mm across and I think the twig is cherry. No milking and too small/wrong habitat anyway. Nearest I can find in Rogers is rorida or possibly clavularis but both should have white stipes. Maybe the dark stipes are a red herring and are just dried up? Maybe not a Mycena at all? Anyway stumped at the moment and would appreciate some help.
Next one from yesterday had to be taken from a distance with zoom because there was a 3m bramble thicket between me and it. Reckon it might well be my first Volvariella bombycina in which case makes a nice birthday present. Can't ID the stump but v large tree next to the river Lee.
