| | | Re: Calocybe I know it fairly well Mal, it is a little variable but I do think that is what you have there. The white, sinuate gills, and the pink cap and stem (which can vary a lot between collections) are good characteristics.

| | | Re: Calocybe Hi
I also find it regularly at a local site, and always delighted at the contrast between the bright white and clear pink
By the way it is now Rugosomyces carneus

I've only seen this a couple of times, both at Clumber Park. Each time the fruit bodies were young as shown in this image:

| | | Re: Calocybe Sorry for the tardy response Andy. What with recovering from a fortnight with a 6year old granddaughter and getting ready to go on hollies and fitting in one or two last forays I missed replying.
Thanks for the input chaps

John | I was in fact having a dig at Mal for not acknowledging the two replies, which he has now rectified with a very gentleman-like response. It wasn't for the lack of response from anyone else but thanks for doing so with such nice images. I haven't seen R. carnea this year as of yet but need to be among old grassland, which is generally where I come across it.
Thanks folks
