| | | Blue/Purple Fungi I'm pretty sure I uploaded 3 images of a bright blue/purple fungi onto the Gallery but my computer skills are non existent and for one reason or another I cannot find them to post on here,do they have to be moderated before they appear or are they supposed to go straight on? |

| | | Re: Blue/Purple Fungi Ha Ha ! You're no worse than me Laughing Gravy (is you a Red Indian ?)
I think if you put them on the Gallery then they will have to be moderated, but on the images (is that right Mike ?) they can be uploaded to here straight away.
Welcome to WAB by the way.
Neil.
(Now where did I put my Peace Pipe ?)
EDIT: Blimey, that was quick Mike !! |

(Now where did I put my Peace Pipe ?) | You are correct Neil.
PS Laughing Gravy - your images are in the Image Library (and I can identify the fungus on your photos).
But I want to give you chance to sort out getting the photos into your posts.
Regards,
Mike. |

Ken | Laughing Gravy is the name of a greyhound in a Laurel and Hardy film if I remember correctly
Chris

| | | Re: Blue/Purple Fungi Hey guys thanks for such a positive response,I could't believe it when I saw it,is it common? I looked and looked all over the web trying to find an image,I have no personal knowledge, modesty dictates I tell you now that my considerable use of accepted terminology comes merely from an app on my phone, the closest thing I could find was the blue chanterelle on a colour basis, this isn't known to grow here and these were single fruits rather than a cluster,so black trumpet/trumpet of death was the nearest i found, wrong colour though.
Hehe,no I am not first nation (the preferred nomenclature in this present time,in my humble opinion,of over zealous political correctness) but rather a East Lancs lad, born and bred circa:1971
The name is an extra special piece of comedy gold I first saw in my early years of school holidays when watching the daily dose of Laurel and Hardy,LG was the name given by Stanley to the dog they weren't allowed to keep in their apartment.
