Can you recommend a nice cheap "I-spy" book of tree identification?  
Although several hours of digestive research has not produced any discernable reddening of evacuated fluid. |

Can you recommend a nice cheap "I-spy" book of tree identification?   | When I started to learn the difference between conifers I found the following general rule very helpful. Pine have needles are in Pairs Spruce have Sharp needles Firs have Flat needles
Doesn't always work but tends to be true. Of course when you want to differentiate between, say, Norway Spruce and Sitka Spruce it gets trickier....
