| | | ID help please Wondering if I can get some help with this please, growing on forest floor with conifers, approximately 5-6 inches high and 3-5 inches wide, soft and velvety texture with pores. bruises brown. I hope this is enough information as I am stumped with this one.

I think you have a young fruit body of: Phaeolus schweinitzii (Dryer's Maxegill) This is frequent on the roots of conifers.
