Dead beech fungus ID help.

Hi all,

This is one of several fruit bodies that were growing on a fallen dead beech.
Approx 50mm across yellow/tan slightly fibrous upper surface.



Underside white, bruising yellow/brown on contact. Short, stout central stem.



Pores are very small, barely visible to the naked eye.



Smell "mushroomy" reminds me of puffballs.

It has me stumped.
