| | | Leccinum aurantiacum? I found this specimen today in a disused clay pit. Due to it's fox-red cap colouration and red-brown flocculose stem, I'm going for L.aurantiacum. I say this with more confidence than usual
Can anyone confirm this for me?

| | | Re: Leccinum aurantiacum? It tics all the right boxes for me, Wayne. Especially if that's a poplar I see behind it in the one picture. I'm assuming the colouring of the interior continued to darken to an eventual near-black.
