Unidentified shagginess

I found these under a young Oak tree this afternoon. I'm completely stumped as to what they could be. Their extremely shaggy caps and thick, fleshy stems are something I haven't seen before. Fantastic looking fungi, but what are they?

Sorry, no picture of the underside, as you can see, the caps were closed.

Hi Wayne

Your fungus is an Agaricus species but without more information it would be impossible to take further. Cutting one open or bruising to see if there was a colour change (red) would have helped greatly!
