| | | Horse Pooh Mushroom Haven't seen anything like this before. It appeared to be growing up out of some road apples along the track of my regular daily walk. ID?
Edit: About 6 inches tall overall. There was a smaller one nearby with a more distictly dark brownish umbo - also touching the horse pooh.

| | | Re: Horse Pooh Mushroom Hi Jim,
It does have an odd shape to it, but I'd be thinking it will be something like Panaeolus semiovatus - Egghead Mottlegill.
Regards,
Mike. |

| | | Re: Horse Pooh Mushroom The smaller one had exactly the same elongated shape, so this is not just a single atypical fruit body. |
