I failed to come up with an answer because they ain't been run over with a lawn mower. 
Yes, by putting your foot on them, you quickly have a deep blue gungy mess on the grass - that's when you know you have the 'Inkstain Bolete'.

Gennaro Contaldo said about this bolete in one of the Jamie at home series on mushrooms. You slice the bolete and you count to 5 and it turns blue, remarkable. |

It's really fast.
Couldn't cut & get a before & after shot of the stems in time.
literally the second it got exposed it started turning.
